Matt Clegg
Matt Clegg is Head of Education Building Technology at the Department for Education, working across school connectivity, technology integration and the use of technology within the education estate.
Over the past decade, Matt has worked with colleagues across government, schools and industry to help embed technology as a standard part of school design and delivery, and more recently to improve connectivity for schools across England. His current focus is on understanding how technology can support a wider range of building systems, including environmental monitoring, smart sensors and energy optimisation. He is particularly interested in ensuring that lessons from schools and live programmes help inform future standards, policy and investment decisions across the education estate.
